Destination Information:
DAY 01 JAYAPURA ARRIVAL (Lunch, Dinner)
The 8 Day Yali Highland Trekking Tour begins with a personal transfer from your hotel in Jakarta or Bali to the airport where you will board a plane to Sentani Airport in Jayapura. Once you arrive you will meet your guide and check into a hotel before visiting the Sentani Lake which you will sail over by boat to a village where you will be able to see the infamous arts and crafts of Papua. You will also visit the Anthropology Museum before eating lunch at a local restaurant and seeing the Mc. Arthur monument of Ifar Gunung before returning to your hotel.

DAY 02 JAYAPURA - WAMENA (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
The 8 Day Yali Highland Trekking Tour then takes you on the second day to Wamena where you will visit the Dani tribes by car in the Suroba and Jiwika villages where life is traditional as well as being the location of the 250 year old mummy. Here you will have lunch and then visit the Napua Hill and its traditional market before a free afternoon, dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 03 WAMENA - KOSAREK (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
The third day of the tour will lead you to a missionary airfield where you will take a chartered flight to Kosarek to see the Yali or Yalemo tribes. The cook will prepare lunch here and then short hike in the afternoon will bring you to the Wesaltek village where you will observe once more the Yali way of life. This beautiful scenery is enjoyed at the price of a difficult route which can be steep and slippery. You will then turn into a local house for the night.

DAY 04 KOSAREK - NOHOMAS - ULDAM (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
Day four of the 8 Day Yali Highland Trekking Tour and you will walk a two hour hike to the Nohomas village over steep terrain and sweet potato gardens with stunning views. The Nohomas village is the largest in the area and offer great traditional houses on the mountain ridge in order to have been alerted to enemy arrivals during the times of the raids. You will here see the traditional tools and weapons and how they are created as well as taking another hike to the village of Uldam. This steep trail passes Yali gardens and offers a church where you will sleep and dine on the hay covered floor.

DAY 05 ULDAM - SERKASI (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
From Uldam you will then head up another steep section of the tour to the Kosarek Mountain where from these highlands you will have incredible views and photograph taking opportunities. From here you descend through a forest to the village of Serkasi where you will stop for lunch and at the riverside before heading on to Serkasi. After 4-5 hours trekking you will reach the church or house where you will spend the night.

DAY 06 SERKASI - HOMBUGA - KOSAREK (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
On the sixth day of the 8 Day Yali Highland Trekking Tour you will hike on a steep trail downriver to Hombuga passing more sweet potato gardens and then at the next village you will eat and spend the rest of the day.

DAY 07 KOSAREK - WAMENA - JAYAPURA (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
The penultimate day sees a charter flight back to Wamena where you will transfer to Jayapura and check into your hotel.

DAY 08 JAYAPURA - DEPARTURE (Breakfast)
The final day includes breakfast and free time up to the time of your flight.
