Destination Information:
DAY 01 JAYAPURA ARRIVAL – CONNECTING TO WAMENA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The 8 Day Korowai Tribe Adventure begins in Jayapura after having been transfered from your hotel in Bali or Jakarta to the airport and flown into the Jayapura Airport. You will then take the Trigana flight to Wamena Airport where you will arrive around 11 in the morning and check into your hotel. From here you will visit the villages of the Dani and enjoy the scenery and views of ad from the Napua Hill. After this you will eat lunch ad drive to the Baliem valley in order to see the mock war dances and other cultural festivities before eating the traditional hog roast with the local
tribes' people before heading back to your hotel.

DAY 02 WAMENA - YANIRUMA – DAMBOL (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The next day begins with a charter flight to Yaniruma where you will report to the local chief and then paddle canoes to across the Sekom and Dairam Hitam Rivers. After this a three hour trek will bring you to the Dambol Village where you will see the tribes and stay overnight in shelters and tents.

DAY 03 - 05 EXPLORING THE LIFE OF KOROWAY (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
On your third day you will pass through swamps and rainforest on a 5 hour trek through the vast dense rainforest of South Irian Jaya and Papua where you will see al sorts of exotic sights and meet the Korowai tribe who are known to hunt wild pigs, these people live in tree houses and will show you how they interact with the environment fishing and hunting as well as trap setting. You will stay again in a shelter or in a traditional house raised 30 feet above the ground.

DAY 06 HAMLET - BACK TO YANIRUMA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
On the 6th day of the 8 Day Korowai Tribe Adventure you will trek back to Yaniruma where you will stop off beforehand at Dairam Kabur where you will be bale to bathe in the rivers and then head to the missionary house where you will eat and spend the night. 

DAY 07 YANIRUMA - WAMENA - JAYAPURA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The penultimate day of the 8 Day Korowai Tribe Adventure begins with returning to Wamena and something resembling modern life where you will head to the capital of Papua where you will see the World War II monuments, the museums and the souvenir shops as well as the cultural markets before staying in a hotel in the afternoon.

DAY 08 JAYAPURA – DEPARTURE (Breakfast)
The last day of the 8 Day Korowai Tribe Adventure, you will eat breakfast at the hotel and then fly to Sentani Airport where you will be ready for your next flight. As flights differ depending on where you wish to travel, you may or may not have time to do and see other things around the final two days of the tour creating your own program for spending any extra time you may have. Everything you need is included in the tour with extra money only required for refreshments and shopping outside the tour’s services. You will also have to ensure that any official requirements with immigration are in order.
