Day 01 : Bali - Tambolaka - Newa Resort (west Sumba)
On the first day of the 4 day Sumba Tombs and Weaving Tour begins in the south of Bali at your hotel where you will be able to eat breakfast at your hotel and then be taken from your hotel to the international airport where you will take a domestic flight to Sumba arriving in the morning at Tambolaka in Sumba where you will be then escorted by your guide to the Newa Resort which is a great place to stay located in a tranquil area. You will then be able to spend the rest of the day enjoying the Waitabula area where there are plenty of markets and traditional areas to be seen and enjoyed all around the area. The cloth known as Ikat cloth is very popular among tourists as well as the locals and other Indonesians from other islands and you will be able to see the traditional processes involved to make the detailed patterns as well as having the chance to barter for these items. After this you will return for a free evening around the hotel where you will east your dinner.

Day 02 : Newa Resort - Kodi - Waikabubak
On the second day of the 4 day Sumba Tombs and Weaving Tour you will begin with breakfast in the Newa Resort you will then head out to the Kodi area where you will firstly stop off at the Bondo Kodi, Bondo Kawango and Pero Beach. You will in this area see the Pascola field which is the location of the incredible traditional battle ceremonies that take place during February and March when the island is alive with all sorts of festivities. You will be able to dine on the beach with the packed lunches which are provided before then moving on to the Mona Lisa Cottages where you will check in and then visit the Tarunga area as well as the Waitabar areas which are beautiful traditional villages inhabited by the laid back local people of Sumba. On the hills of Waitabar you will also visit the Megalithic stone tombs which are very impressive and have an excellent connection to the history and the culture of the island. After this you will return to the Mona Lisa for you dinner and an evening to yourself.

Day 03 : Waikabubak - Waingapu
On the third day of the 4 day Sumba Tombs and Weaving Tour begins with breakfast at the Mona Lisa Hotel and then a trip to the Waingapu area in the east of the island where you will see the Pasunga village and the great stone tombs and traditional architecture of the Sumbanese. For this evening you will sleep and eat in the Merlin Hotel and see the buffalo leather houses, the incredible views over the Savanna area and the incredible Ikat cloths.

Day 04 : Waingapu - Denpasar
The fourth day of the 4 day Sumba Tombs and Weaving Tour is dedicated to your return journey to Bali and drop off to your hotel with a few opportunities for photos.
