Destination Information:
The 3 Days Orangutan Rimba Lodge Tour  is a great tour allowing you to stay at the Rimba Eco Lodge as well as seeing all of the main sights of central Borneo including Camp Leakey and the Proboscis monkeys. You will arrive at the Pangkalan Bun airport and meet with your guide who will transfer you to the seaport and inland gate of Kumai where you will see the cultural and modern significance of the river Seikonyer to the local people. After 15 minutes you will be on the Seikonyer River and heading towards the national park. You will dine on the boat on the way to the National Park and after 2 hours you will reach the Rimba Eco Lodge. At this point the tour continues and you will head further upstream and view the Proboscis monkeys by the stream and on the land. After this experience you will head back to the lodge where you will eat dinner explore the area and sleep overnight read for the day 2.

The second day of the 3 Days Orangutan Rimba Lodge Tour begins with breakfast at the Rimba Eco Lodge before continuing upstream to Pondok Tanggui which is the another rehabilitation centre primarily concerned with the young, baby and juvenile orangutans meaning it is possible to see the breeding projects and learn and see these incredibly cute animals. After feeding time at 09.00 you will proceed to Camp Leakey and on route pass the black river where biodiversity is extremely high with birds, fish, primates and even crocodiles visible from the safety of the boat. Once at Camp Leakey you will hike through the forests while taking in information about the history and current projects at Camp Leakey and you will be able to observe the wildlife on the way. Lunch is back at the boat and you will return to camp Leakey in time to see the feeding time and view the behavior of the Orangutans. You can bring fruit and milk for the Orangutans and then view the entire area from a safety platform. At 16.00 you will return to the boat and back downstream to the Rimba Eco Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day three of the 3 Days Orangutan Rimba Lodge Tour begins with breakfast at the Eco Lodge and then after a short amount of free time you will begin the journey back through this wonderful scenery of jungle and mangroves back to Kumai. You may depending on time have an opportunity to visit the markets of Kumai before then being directly transferred to the airport by the guide ready for your next flight connecting to your next location. All food and drink is including in the price except for alcohol and other snacks and beverages outside meal times.
