Destination Information:
The 14 Day Dani and Asmat Combination Expedition is a trekking based expedition which is aimed at the more experienced in jungle trekking although any fit, healthy and traveled person will be more then capable of enjoying the tour. You will be transferred from your location in Jakarta or Bali to the airport and then upon your arrival at Jayapura, you will be transferred to the Sentani Indah Hotel where you will spend the rest of the day enjoying a free program.

On your second day you will fly to Wamena where you will check into the Baliem Pilamo Hotel before taking a short hike to the Baliem Valley visiting the salt mines at the springs as well as an injection of culture. After a packed lunch you will see the Sumpaima Village where the old mummy can be found and then to Anemoigi for the Dani festivities.

On your third day you will then drive to Sogokmo where you will trek to Kurima for the routine police check and then head on to Kilise to explore a local Dani village in it traditional entirety before sleeping in a local house.

The fourth day of the 14 Day Dani and Asmat Combination Expedition begins with breakfast you will walk on to the village of Wamarek passing gardens, compounds and all aspects of the surrounding environment, you will after 5 hours reach the village and stop for lunch where you will be able to interact with locals and learn about their culture.

Day five begins with a trek through hilly terrain to Wesagelep for the Danis Gardens and incredible scenery before turning into a local house.

On the day six you will cross the Baliem River to Userem using a traditional bridge with a long trek finishing at another local house for dinner and board.

The next day sees a journey back to Wamena passing village Seinma before Sogokmo and then back to Baliem Pilamo Hotel. From here you will head to Agatz for sightseeing and stay in a traditional long house as well as seeing the Asmat Museum.

You will awake in the Inn on day 9 and head down a track passing the Asuwetsy River, the Warse Village and eating lunch at Amanamkai stopping for another police report. By canoe you will head for 5 hours to the long house where you will see Asmat festivities before staying in a local house.

You will see more cultural performances on day 11 and see the Owus Villages before staying at Padaelo Losmen. The twelfth day uses motorized canoes to Ewer for the chartered flight to Wamena for the hanging bridge and village visit before staying at a hotel.

The penultimate day is anything but event less with flight to Tirgana to see the WWII memorial sights as well as the lakes and tribal culture at Yougwa and the museums before staying at the hotel and on you final day you will be transferred to the airport where you will take your next flight to your next destination.
