Destination Information:
DAY 01 JAKARTA or BALI ARRIVAL – CONNETING TO JAYAPURA
The 14 Day Baliem Valley Tree House & Asmat Tour begins with your transfer to the airport in Jakarta or Bali where you will board a flight to Jayapura of Papua arriving late at night or early in the morning.

DAY 02 JAYAPURA ARRIVAL (Lunch, Dinner)
After a night in the hotel you will head to the Sentani Airport where you will transfer to the Sentani Indah Hotel. After all of this travel you will enjoy the free program for the rest of the afternoon.

DAY 03 JAYAPURA–WAMENA –JIWIKA –WAMENA (B.Lunch, Dinner)
On the third day you will fly again to Wamena where you will check into a hotel and then visit the Dani Villages and enjoy the views of the Napua Hill and enjoy the traditional entertainment including dances symbolizing hunting and mock war before enjoying the traditional hog roast.

DAY 04 WAMENA – YANIRUMA – HAMLET (KOROWAY TRIBE) (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
On the fourth day you will fly to Yaniruma on a 45 minute charter flight where you will see the tribes and tree houses after a 3 hour trek. You will stay overnight in a shelter or tent.

DAY 05 – 08 EXPLORING THE TREE HOUSE TRIBES ACTIVITIES (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
On days 5-8 of the 14 Day Baliem Valley Tree House & Asmat Tour you will spend a lot of time trekking as well as having plenty of rest time and you will see the fascinating tribes of the Korowai, Kombai and the Korowai Batu. These primitive tribes are highly interesting and are safe to be around when with the guide. You will then see some of the deepest oldest rainforest in the area on the way to the tree houses where you will see the Korowai living in small groups. You will witness the hunting as well as the travelling of the local people around the area.

DAY 09 HAMLET – BASMAN (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
On the ninth day of the 14 Day Baliem Valley Tree House & Asmat Tour you will turn to look at the natural wildlife that can be found around the local rainforest. As well as Cus-Cus, birds and land animals, you will also see plenty of hunting equipment and trap setting that the local people do to survive.

DAY 10 BASMAN- BINERBIS - SENGGO- JINAK (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
Over the next few days you will turn your attention to the lakes and rivers with a 7 hour journey by motorised canoe down Dairam Kabur to the Binerbis village for lunch and then to Jinak via Senggo where you will witness a lot of fishing and river side activity before staying in a local house.

DAY 11 JINAK – FOS – AMBOREP (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
Then you will see the Siretsj River and Amborep village by canoe where you can speak to the former cannibal people and gain an insight into their culture.

DAY 12 AMBOREP – WARSE – AGATS (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
After this, day 12 sees a trip to Warse and Agats where you will see much dancing, canoe racing and the museum of Asmat before looking at the shops and turning into your hotel.

DAY 13 AGATS – EWER – TIMIKA (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
Seeing more of the culture in the morning you will also get chance to see the supernatural side of the culture and the beliefs that protect their families before beginning you trip back to Timika where you will check into a hotel.

DAY 14 TIMIKA – DEPARTURE TO JAKARTA or BALI (Breakfast)
Breakfast. Transfer to airport and ready for your flight back to Jakarta or Bali.
