Destination Information:
DAY 01 JAYAPURA ARRIVAL (Lunch, Diner)
The 11 Day Una Tribe and Real Stone Axe Processing Tour begins in Jakarta or Bali where you will fly by night to Jayapura on the only available flights.

DAY 02 JAYAPURA – WAMENA – JIWIKA – WAMENA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
You will arrive early the next morning in Wamena where you will check into the hotel with an excellent view of the Napua Hill where you will visit the Dani village. After lunch you will see the north of the Baliem valley and the Anemoigi village to see the traditional mock war performances and dances as eat the traditional hog roast.

DAY 03 WAMENA – LANGDA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
On day three you will fly to Langda where you will head out to see the Una tribes meeting the local chief and travelling through the area on canoes. A three hour trek brings you to the hamlet where you will be welcomed by the local tribes. You will then check into a missionary house and explore the local hamlets. As well as seeing the traditional local huts and the making of the stone axes and other tools.

DAY 04 LANGDA – JALAR (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
On the fourth day of the 11 Day Una Tribe and Real Stone Axe Processing Tour you will walk through moderate routes passing river Jalar. In this area the friendly locals will meet you and show you their traditional clothes and other crafts as well as potato farming and the yam gardens. Here you will check stay in a church.

DAY 05 JALAR – LARIE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The next day you will leave by carry on trekking through the hills passing the longest traditional bridge in Papua where you will stop for lunch and see fishing and riverside culture before trekking through forests to the Larie Village on the ridge of a mountain for dinner and overnight in another church.

DAY 06 LARIE TO SEE UNA TRIBE MAKE THE STONE AXE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The 6th day offers a range of interesting events such as traveling by canoe through the Una Tribe's area where the locals use and make the stone axes and negotiate difficult slippery trails to the rocks and fire areas where tools are made.
After spending a little longer with these fascinating people you will see more dancing and festivities you will eat the traditional hog roast before trekking a further three hours to Kenyelengde for diner and your overnight stay.

DAY 07 LARIE – KENYELENGDE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The 11 Day Una Tribe and Real Stone Axe Processing Tour then carries on towards the village of Wasumuryi where you will stay again in a church and see some breathtaking mountain views. A steep decent follows this on your ninth morning along the river where can bathe before crossing a traditional bridge to the Una field where you will stay in a former missionary house.

DAY 08 KENYELENGDE – WASUMURYI (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Breakfast. Continue the trek up down of the hills, along the way you will pass some gardens and women working and the spectacular view of the mountain.

DAY 09 WASUMURYI – LANGDA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Breakfast. Down the hill in very steep path until the river, lunch will be served on the riverside, you may soak your aching bones in the river

DAY 10 LANGDA – WAMENA - JAYAPURA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
You will then on your penultimate day of the 11 Day Una Tribe and Real Stone Axe Processing Tour head to the airstrip for you charter flight back to Wamena and then transfer to Jayapura. You can visit the markets and the museums before dining and staying the night.

DAY 11 JAYAPURA – DEPARTURE (Breakfast)
Your final day begins with breakfast and a free program up to the time of your next connecting flight with the memories and photos of an epic adventure throughout the beautiful and fascinating Papua area.
